ODIUM PUMP EXTRACELLULAR GLYCOSYLATIONS

These little fuzzy tree structures I have depicted on the extracellular
posterior chamber-facing surface of the NPE cell represent glycosylations
of the NaK ATPase beta subunit. These are branching polymers of saccaride
units such as mannose and glucosamine, I believe, but since someone has
stolen my Alberts and Crick et al Molecular Biology of the Cell text,
it is a bit more difficult for me to comment on some of the details. Of
course, I could do more of a literature search on it, but it is nice to
consult basic information in conjunction with such a search.

Hey Curt! Ya got something else ya want me to put here?
